Due to COVID-19
All one-campus events are postponed.
Before COVID-19, MHI held various events on campus to help create a conversation about mental health and foster a safe environment for all Bruins!
One of our biggest projects is “Bruins for Mental Health.” Those in the BfMH committee go out on Bruinwalk and interview students by asking them their experience with mental health. We include these students’ stories on our social media to eliminate the stigma by cultivating conversation.
We also have an Acts of Kindness Committee, which aims to spread smiles and positivity across UCLA. This committee does various kind acts on Bruinwalk and around campus so keep an eye out for ‘em! The biggest event held by this committee every quarter is the Friendship Speed Dating Event. We have an amazing turnout every time we host it, and many students have mentioned that they’ve made some incredible friends through our event!
We also annually take part in the Mental Health Awareness Month activities in May on Bruinwalk so drop by to say hi and learn more about MHI!
